Using Green Tea for Hair Shedding

There is some scientific evidence for using green tea for shedding.  This 2017 study compared a caffeine based solution with minoxidil for men with genetic hair loss. The authors found that the caffeine solution was just as good as minoxidil for improving the number of growing hairs!  Most teas contain caffeine, so it stands to reason that it could have a beneficial effect on hair growth.

Another study showed that caffeine is absorbed through the hair follicles, so it is very efficient at getting right to the area where the hair is falling out! Doing tea rinses for excessive hair shedding does lead to absorption of caffeine by your hair follicles.  Here is YouTuber SimplyDivineCurls sharing her truly wonderful experiences with green tea rinses. Her hair shedding went way down after doing a green tea rinse!
